Our mission
We’re not happy about status quo. That doesn’t mean that we moan and complain about everything around us like annoyed teenagers. Quite the opposite. We’re super excited about the talent, activity, and potential we see around us every day. The whole world is changing, with disruptive technologies, new approaches to state organisations and educations, and the shaking up of old institutions. The Czech Republic, celebrating its 100 years recently as well as 30 years since the liberation from Communism, has had a very tumultuous century. We’ve been thrown around by various despotic regimes and went through a lot of oppression.
Now is our time to shine. We have unprecedented talent, a vibrant international community, world-class researchers, and great ideas. Let’s disrupt our own society and move to the next level, as well as take this infectious entrepreneurial, non-conventional spirit abroad.
That’s our mission – to help startups connect, support each other and grow together. We encourage and actively support innovation and don’t see ‘disruption’ as a bad word; we see it as a mechanism for a better future.

Patrik Juránek
Founder & CEO
Patrik is a Founder at Startup Disrupt, a platform for more than 20k+ startups, technology innovators, and other entrepreneurs inspoiring over 100k people around Europe. He is also an external consultant for global technology companies and a founding member of LXVI Ventures and EverConn.AI. Patrik is a Google Certified Trainer for Design Thinking. Patrik received the Aspen Institute Young Leaders and Young Transatlantic Innovation Leadership Initiative Fellowship. In 2021, he was announced as Ecosystem Hero in the Central European Startup Awards in the Global Startup Awards.
Lucie Laštíková
Head of Production
Lucie earned two graduate degrees from Archaeology and Journalism. Worked for several Czech media houses and NGOs. On top of her full-time job at Startup Disrupt, she is working as a vice president of the Czech NGO called Pacienti IBD. Lucie is a member of Immunology Global Advisory Board in Boston, also an active clinical trial ambassador for CEE region. Her passion is obviously healtcare. So every startup with great medical idea is welcome to have a chat with!
Marek Modrovic
Partnership Manager
Marek is responsible for partnerships that bring added value in Startup Disrupt. Besides he loves business, creates interesting events, concepts and projects, is constantly full of ideas and innovations, creative.
Matyáš Vacek
IT Specialist Junior
Matyáš is an university IT student passionate about multimedia (graphic and web design) and some programming. In Startup Disrupt team, he takes part in technical activities.

Ivana Červená
Marketing Specialist
Ivana already worked at the school as production in an advertising agency, but at that time she became more attracted to marketing, in which she has been working for 3 years. Her domain in Startup Disrupt is surprisingly marketing.
You can meet her on a climbing wall, in nature while running or hiking, or on trips around the world.
